Winter Camp in Trollheimen
During the Norwegian winter holidays in February, we’re offering a winter camp for children 8-12 years.
The Winter Camp teaches children about winter outdoor life and skills, like how to properly pack a rucksack, how to set up a secure camp, and activities like ice fishing, navigation an how to light a bonfire. The base camp will be in Helgetunmarka. From here, we’ll take advantage of the nearby area and Lake Langvatnet to have fun. If the weather is nice, we spend one night in a lavvo (a traditional Sami tent).
– Ice fishing competition
– Learn how to walk with snow shoes on, and get a snow shoe certificate
– Learning how to dress and survive outside in the winter
– Winter orienteering
– Snow bathing
– Sleeping outside for 1 night (if the weather is nice)
– Competitions and more
